The Chicagoland Thunderbirds (a chapter of the Vintage Thunderbird Club International- VTCI) is dedicated to the preservation of the Ford Thunderbird and uniting owners of these automobiles. This site has been created to help expand the awareness of these cars, to provide a chance for people to discover the uniqueness in features and styling of the Thunderbird from it's creation in 1955 and to share and exchange knowledge about these vehicles.
Have fun exploring the site, learning about the club, merchandise available, what events we have coming up, past events we've hosted and/or took part in and discovering the Thunderbird.
Throughout the website you will find email addresses to contact the club regarding membership, merchandise, car show questions. We welcome input from everyone, T-Bird owner or not.
Lost Fender
Skirt, Please read...
OK … so here I am heading down I-355 in metropolitan Chicagoland,
just South of Lake Street, about 12:45 in the afternoon on
Wednesday, June 16th … and what do I see in front of me, but a
beautiful cream color T-Bird, not sure of the year, but who cares –
they’re all such beauties
… but just about when I’m getting ready to congratulate myself on
yet another sighting of the most beautiful American automobile,
guess what happens? The T-Bird I’m eyeballing throws a feather! OK
it was actually a fender skirt, but before I could say Holy Ford, my
car is pulling itself over (well-trained, I must say), and I find
myself corralling the wayward fender skirt … now I know it’s a
really long shot, but maybe the Thunderbird owner who lost this
part, may actually visit this site, and I’d love nothing better than
to give him back the part of his automotive treasure which so rudely
left him by the side of the road, so give “Big Al Schulz” a call at
708-453-3608, and we’ll arrange for the fender skirt to be returned
…
