The Chicagoland Thunderbirds are hosting the 2010 VTCI International Convention. Beginning on September 22nd VTCI members from across the USA will join T-Bird enthusiasts from Canada and Europe at the Lincolnshire Marriott for five days of all things Thunderbird, at what we call – Chicago 2010.  call Marriott @ 1-800-228-9290 in the USA and Canada group code is vtcivtca. $115.00 /per night or go online to reserve online

Your Convention Committee has arranged for activities, tours, special events and of course, great food and drink, for each of the five days. Besides the classic autos of the Volo Museum, we’ll also be touring the Cuneo Mansion and the Chicago Botanical Gardens. We have a fantastic tour of Downtown Chicago planned for Saturday, with a Chicago River boat tour and lunch at Navy Pier the planned highlights.

We’re also offering a dinner/theater package, featuring the Lincolnshire Marriott Theater’s production of the Tony-Award winning musical, A Chorus Line, on Thursday evening. And then, on Friday, the “singular sensation” of the automotive world – the Thunderbird – will take center stage during the VTCI’s concours judging, with the Awards Banquet scheduled for Saturday evening. And if you can find the time – and risk the embarrassment of uncontrollable slicing and hooks, we even have a golf scramble on Thursday afternoon!
